Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc
Step into the heart of the UTMB with a powerful 360° immersive journey for a cause that matters !
As an official partner of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® (UTMB), the Rare Diseases Foundation has produced an immersive 360° virtual reality film capturing the race from an unprecedented perspective. This innovative audiovisual project allows viewers to experience the emotional and physical intensity of the UTMB as if they were embedded within the race itself.
The film was shot using high-definition 360° cameras strategically placed along the course and among participants, enabling full panoramic capture of the mountainous terrain, aid stations, and key moments of the race. The result is a fully immersive video experience that transports the audience directly into the heart of the event.
Now in its second year, this solidarity initiative brought together 35 runners who took part in the UTMB in support of rare disease research. The film not only showcases the extraordinary human and athletic adventure of the UTMB but also highlights the values of resilience, community, and solidarity that define both the race and the mission of the Foundation.
This VR project serves as a powerful communication and engagement tool, raising awareness and generating support for rare diseases through the emotional power of immersive storytelling.
